Attorney Shannon Dartez had the honor of speaking about the late Mark L. Riley at the Louisiana Workers’ Advocates Annual Meeting. Mark, a dedicated attorney at The Glenn Armentor Law Corporation for over 13 years, was a fierce advocate for injured workers before his passing in October 2023.
During the event, Shannon highlighted Mark’s advocacy and announced that the executive committee named an award in his honor: The Mark L. Riley Leadership “Dragon Slayer” Award that will be given to advocates of the plight of the injured workers.
Much to her surprise, Shannon also received this award with four colleagues who fought against harmful Workers’ Compensation legislation last year and successfully blocked all proposed bills!
