For January 2026, we’ve chosen Foster the Love Louisiana as our Non-Profit of the Month — an organization dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive families right here in South Louisiana.
Supporting Families Who Give So Much
Foster the Love Louisiana exists to support foster and adoptive families by providing essential resources, education, and care to those who open their homes to children in need.
Their mission includes:
- Operating a Community Closet stocked with clothes, baby equipment, shoes, and supplies that help families welcome children into their homes.
- First Nights Programs that provide bags of clothing and essentials for children entering foster care — helping to ease an often stressful transition.
- Training and education for caregivers and professionals to better understand trauma-informed care and strengthen foster families in our community.
Their work not only helps meet immediate physical needs — it builds community, alleviates emotional stress, and brings dignity to children during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Celebrating Local Impact
To honor Foster the Love Louisiana’s service, our attorneys — including Rebekah Huggins and Tracy Curtis — recently presented a donation on behalf of the firm. This contribution is part of our ongoing effort to support organizations that protect and empower families across Acadiana.
We believe strongly in the value of community partners like Foster the Love Louisiana. By lifting up foster and adoptive families, they strengthen our entire region and make a lasting impact on the lives of children in need.
